Photographs 1883; 1911; 1915-1919.

This series consists of photographs of the General Synod's Woman's Home and Foreign Missionary Society(WHFMS). It includes photographs from WHFMS general conventions for 1883, 1911, 1915, 1917, and 1919. In addition to convention photographs, there are photographs of churches where the organizing convention of the WHFMS took place in Canton, Ohio, and where the first convention of the WHFMS synodical society for the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Miami (Ohio) took place. There are two postcard photographs of the parsonage in Tipton, Iowa, where the first WHFMS synodical society was formed. Included in this series is one photograph of Mrs. Laura B. Snyder, president of the first WHFMS synodical society, and one photograph of Mrs. Emma B. Scholl, General Historian of the WHFMS from 1879 to 1919. The backs of some photographs do have the names of people pictured, but they do not appear to be according to how people are standing or sitting. Files are arranged chronologically.
